Let’s first start by saying “WOW”. The 2020 Checkerboard Coyote Ridge Vineyard is a showstopper! This wine opens with aromas of stewed fruits and caramel singing together in harmony, while hints of tobacco and Tellicherry pepper play a supporting role.  On the palate the wines are sweet and subtle, with a minerality that Is pure and unmatched. The Dark red fruit is lush with firm tannins and an extended finish. A beautiful wine to share with great friends and family, the reward will be greater to those collectors choosing to lay down a few bottles for the upcoming years.
